Dave is currently taking new clients.

Dave was introduced to MAT in 2003 like many of his clients; dealing with several physical problems for years that no other treatment methods seemed to be able to address (e.g., chronic neck pain, chronic back pain, hip bursitis, plantar fasciitis, shoulder dislocations, patella-femoral issues, IT band problems …just to name a few). He also survived a series of surgeries to remove a rather large brain tumor in 2002 that just added to the list of problems.  After spending years trying to rehabilitate and figure out why these injuries were recurring all over his body he reluctantly had to quit exercising all together.  In 2003, he was referred to a newer method called "Muscle Activation Techniques” while having a conversation with a coworker.  Dave had nothing to lose so that spring he attended a continuing education workshop in Chicago with Greg Roskopf.  He learned more in that 4-hour-workshop than he had in the previous four years searching for answers.  From that point forward he has immersed himself in MAT and the study of body mechanics at an unparalleled level.  He ended up becoming his own guinea pig to not only learn his craft but to experience the outcome personally.  Currently he is pain free, enjoys an active lifestyle, and is able to play with his wife and kids with little to no worries of pain or injury.

Dave holds a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science from Indiana University Bloomington. Throughout his career he has been a guest speaker several times for the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and many well known Universities.

Rich is currently taking new clients.

With a lifetime fascination for the human body, Rich Rife set out on a quest to learn the scientific truth on how the body responds to external and internal mechanical and chemical stresses.  After spending his four years studying chemistry at Hanover College, Rich spent several frustrating years searching for the correct direction.

Eventually, he ran into a Muscle Activation Techniques™ Specialist that had learned a big piece of the puzzle.  From this point, every thing continued to fall into place.  Muscle Activation Techniques™ led him to Resistance Training Specialist™ allowing him to take his skills using weight training equipment to an exact specificity for training clients.

Finally, after some serious personal digestive issues, Rich was treated by a Loomis Digestive Health Specialist™ giving him the initiative to learn how to treat biochemical imbalances in the human system.  Putting all three of these tools together and some personal knowledge, the Kinetic Human was born.

Sara Durham has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 16 years. Her passion for health and wellness translates into helping individuals' achieve their goals through physical activity and injury prevention.

Sara was introduced to MAT in 2006 by a coworker after discussing and receiving treatment for injuries she suffered through years of playing competitive volleyball.  At the time she also worked in the corporate fitness industry where she personal trained, instructed group fitness classes, and coached individuals to live a healthy life.  The biggest obstacle that prevented her clients from obtaining their health and fitness goals was pain and injuries sustained through rigorous exercise and strains of daily life.  After experiencing success through MAT treatment for her own injuries, Sara decided to make the leap to become a MAT certified specialist so she can help her clients experience the same benefit.

Sara created Muscular Synergy, a health based practice dedicated to helping individuals improve their quality of life through health, wellness and injury prevention.  In addition to her MAT Specialist certification, Sara holds a degree in Physical Education with emphasis on Corporate Fitness.  Her passion for helping others never stops as she is currently working towards MAT mastery level and a Precision Nutrition level 1 certification.
